Digital camera reviews of Peerless SA740P Articulating LCD Wall Mount for 22-40" LCD Screens (Black)Digital camera Review: Peerless Articulating Arm LCD Mount (SA740P) is the Best Summary: 5 StarsOpen the box, the bracket was small sturdy and easy to assemble. I was a little concerned since the bracket is held to to wall by only two screws, but they haven't budged under the weight of my 40" Toshiba. My only concern with this purchase is that you need to determine if there is a stud directly where you want this mounted. In fact, the stud needs to be off by a couple of inches from the vertical centerline of the LCD/Plasma display. In my case, the stud was almost but not quite there, so my TV is not centered on a wall space between two vertical door mouldings. It looks slightly awkward, but it's a tradeoff that's worth it. The setup looks very clean and getting to the connectors on the Display is a dream. I had centered the display previously using a universal wall mount, but it looked horrible. the display wasn't close to the wall, the end brackets were visible and the connectors weren't easily accessed. BTW: Amazon pricing is the best you'll find anywhere on this item.
Digital camera Review: Perfect! Summary: 5 StarsThis is just what we wanted and needed for our new 26" flat screen television. We have limited space for a television in our bedroom and this was the perfect solution.
Digital camera Review: good to a point Summary: 1 StarsHad this one for 1 1/2 year slight sag with 37". that lcd fried. got new 46" that is 50.2 lbs only 2 1/2 lbs more than the 37", a super thin model. peerless will not sell me a adapter or the newer non-vesa brackets that come with the newest model mounts. after all it is rated for 80 LBS. they have no kits available or plan on it. maybe I should start a new ebay business making light weight adapters for this mount. I'm sure they sold thousands of them.
I guess what I'm saying is there is no support.
just buy the same new model at $235 with the bracket assembly.
Digital camera Review: Great Wall Mount, Good Price Summary: 5 StarsBought this one for my 40" Samsung LCD, I was afraid if this would be strong enough to hold a 40" cause that's the max size for this unit, but it's been holding up for nearly 3 months now, and it seems stable besides some minor cracks and noises I hear when i move the LCD around from the stud in my wall. The only feature missing is that it doesn't give you much vertical movement besides the 0-15% tilt it offers, but I guess the units that offer more movement will cost you like $500+, so I guess this the best deal for the price...
Digital camera Review: Double the cost!!! Summary: 4 StarsThe Wall Mount itself is a good, well designed product. My complaint is that the manufacturer "claim" is that any 22 to 40 inch LCD can be mounted to it.
When the mounting holes in the back of my 40 inch Sony Bravis LCD did not match those of the supplied "adaptor plate", I called Peerless customer service to see how to proceed. After some time I was told that I would need to have an additional "adaptor plate", at an additrional cost of $115 plus tax and shipping. I asked the customer service rep to confirm that in addition to the $101 that I paid for the articulating arm, that I woulld now need to pay an additional $115 + for another adpator plate before I could use the product. She said that was correct.
So BEFORE you purchase, I suggest you call Peerless to see if your LCD fits on the "standard" adptor plate. I never considered Sony an "off brand"!
