As many other people have noted, the listing on Amazon calls it universal and says it will fit virtually any 42" flat screen. It doesn't. Small print on the manual will point that out to you right away, and you'll realize that the bars that attach to the TV aren't long enough to fit all 4 holes for mounting on the back. Go to their website first and put in your model number and it will tell you for sure. Too bad Amazon didn't include that info here.Digital camera Review: Does not fit Panasonic 42" plasma

I ordered this and discovered that my TV was not compatible. The Panasonic mounting holes are too far apart for this mount. I only found this out by calling the manufacturer. I had to reorder the model 660 by Peerless. Peerless customer support did not seem concerned about my problem.
As the Panasonic 42" display is probably one of the most popular sold, something should be mentioned in the advertising to check compatibilty.
My impresion was that it fit all TV's to 49".
The unit appeared well made and instructions seemed good.

I bought this mount thinking that it sounded like a great deal for my 42" LCD TV, and while the description of the product said that it should fit most 42" LCD TVs, it didn't fit mine by a long shot. I wound up having to go out and buy a mount at a retail store for about four times the price on top of the hassle of returning this wall mount. (Amazon was very good about the return, however.) So, please save yourself time, effort, and money and double check to make sure that this mount will actually fit your TV.
