Got this case for my video camera, mostly because it's the same kind of case my school uses for their camera equipment. It's big enough to hold everything I currently have and also has room for more. Cutting out the foam wasn't too hard, but I wish Pelican had better instructions for doing so. I've seen/heard/read about the punishment Pelican cases are built to withstand, I don't plan on putting mine through anything like that, but I'm confident that it can hold up.
Summary of Pelican 1500 Case with Foam for Camera (Black)
Pelican Protector Cases are made with Copolymer Polypropylene, using an open cell core and solid wall construction, which is stronger and lighter that the completion. You can tell its a Pelican case by the distinctive "twin-ribbed" top surface. Stainless steel pins are used for hinges and handles.
