+ Very good built quality.
+ K10D with the attached BG2 grip feels great in hands and helps with vertical shots.

- A bit too big, if you consider using your camera with the kit 18-55 lens. But it will ballance well with a big lens.
- The shutter release button is too soft to push, and can easily be pressed accidentally. (I prefer the same "hard" but)ton as on my *ist Ds. Actually, the same is true for K10D as well.
- You need to consider a larger bag, if you want to carry your K10D with the grip attached. Something similar in size to Nova 2, at least.
- It does not take AA-size batteries.

I could'nt be happier with the grip.It really completes my K10 which I have enjoyed since last December.My little finger now has a place to rest.The grip really helps in stabilizing the camera in my hand.An added plus to the already built in system in the camera.The grips function dials and buttons are just like on the camera.(front and rear dial,+/- compensation,depth of field preview,AE-L,green button).
I have delt with Adorama twice before and have to say THANKS! My orders were received on time in perfect new condition.My conversation with a sales rep on one order was more than pleasant and helpful.

Love this extra battery compartment. Came in handy with family reunion when camera battery ran out of charge. It does add a lot of weight to the camera, but is worth it!!! The K20D is somewhat smaller than the Canon 40D I also use, thus adding more area to hold is an avantage. The grip is the perfect solution. Having large hands, cameras without drives or grips seem difficult to steady while handheld. Of course the verticle option is great, and I like the choice as to which battery will be prime. I coulnd't be more pleased with the purshase.
Amazon made an uncomfortable situation much easier, since I dislike on line purchases.

If you do lots of portraits you need the BG2. Yes you get the added bonus of extra battery capacity and storage for the remote control F and an extra SD card too! The ON/Off/Preview switch only works when the main camera switch is on. The shutter release and other controls fit comfortably, the extra weight and size is also a plus for either larger hands or larger lenses. I'm not sure if it's worth the list price, but definitely worth the price here on Amazon.
