Digital camera reviews of Pentax DSLR Crossover BagDigital camera Review: Everyday bag Summary: 5 Stars
I have used this bag as an everyday carryall for my K20D with a couple of lenses, the extra battery, cards, etc. If I intend to do some serious shooting and take along everything, it is too small. I used it yesterday for a hike in the woods where I did not think I would change lenses, but brought a zoom along just in case.
It was comfortable on and did not get in the way.
Digital camera Review: Excellent DSLR Bag! Summary: 5 Stars
Great bag that serves its purpose! I am able to fit my Canon Ti1 Rebel and 3 lens (one of them a telephoto lens) with room to spare! I like the fact that I can rearrange the compartments the way I want using the velcro dividers. Not to mention I got this for only $12. Thanks amazon!
Digital camera Review: Fits K20D w/DA* 16-50 f/2.8 + DA* 200 f/2.8 + DA 10-17 Fisheye, plus batteries and hoods ... Summary: 5 Stars
[ UPDATE 4/20 ] I now have four (4) lenses in this slingbag -- the new Pentax D-FA 100 f/2.8 Macro WR (inside of its lens bag) now goes in the corner where the fisheye was located, and the fisheye goes in the separate top compartment with the Pentax DA* 200 f/2.8's hood (instead of it, inside of its lens bag). I actually have the Pentax DA* 16-50 f/2.8 on the camera with its hood inverted -- it all fits. I have a pair of batteries in the front pouch, and it will clearly take a few more.
Despite some of the other respondents, I fit a K20D (Pentax's largest/heaviest ever dSLR sans the new 645D medium format) with a DA* 16-50 f/2.8 on it (and its hood inverted), the DA* 200 f/2.8 next to it and the DA 10-17 Fisheye in the corner. Yes, my f/2.8, 77mm lenses are fitting. I do have to put the 200 hood in the top of the unit (instead of the main area), but everything fits, and well. I'm so loving this bag.
It is well-padded. I don't know where other people get the idea it is not. I originally bought the unit last fall, but didn't start using it until recently. I normally only carry a holster and then lens bag, but this is so much better -- all-in-one (again, fish in top, macro in corner, tele alongside and camera+wide in main).
It is crucial that one *LEARNS* how to wear and use it *PROPER*. Otherwise, it is very confusing. It's the SlingShot 300 and is just the right size for all the lenses I mentioned. A K-x or K-7 would fit better than my K20D, and smaller lens sizes than my fast f/2.8, 77mm filter tele would likely fit the lens with the hood still attached (inverted).
Highly recommend this sling bag, especially if you can get it for $20 like I did.
Digital camera Review: Good Bag Summary: 4 Stars
I got this bag free from amazon with my K20D, so I didn't do any research on it prior to recieving it. I'm very pleased with it though. It has plenty of storage for all of the accessories that I currently have for my camera. I have room for the camera and kit lens, a 70-300mm lens and a 10-17mm fish-eye lens, the battery charger and all the associated cords. The strap is nicely padded and very adjustable. I would recommend it someone as long as they don't use a battery grip.
Digital camera Review: Good But Small Summary: 4 Stars
This bag is made well and comfortable to carry on a long day hike. Access and convenience are well designed into the bag.
It is well suited for my K2000 outfit when doing outdoor shoots. I can take a couple of lenses and some basic supplies. There is no room for a flash or any special attachments.
This bag does not work well for my K20D outfit. The camera is at least 1/3 bigger then the K2000 and that pushes the limits.
I would gladly recommend this bag to anyone who does day hikes and has a small digital camera. You will be very pleased with your purchase. If on the other hand you have a full size DSLR, you really need to find a different bag. I carry my K20D in the BAG PENTAX DSLR SLING BAG.
