The best thing about this product is the battery. You can hold it in your hand, or hand it to others without the heavy stand or the cord. In browse, the button for next picture is just where your forefinger will be. I found the operation easy to learn. The battery has not given out even watching 700 photos. But you can't watch and re-charge the battery at the same time. It has superior resolution and color rendition. I downgrade it becuse it is difficult to find out how to load photos via the USB on a Mac, no software is included. You have to put the photo files a few at a time in a particular directory, and then unplug the cable. The photoframe will downsize and re-name the photos. The instructions ought to warn you that a Secure Digital card has a limit on the number of root files, so put them in a directory. The 1.5:1 aspect ratio is an oddball, but it is a shape supported by our Sony Cameras. If you erase some photos on a SD card, reload the the whole card, or the order may be wrong.Digital camera Review: Great gift

As other reviews have noted, this is a very cool gift and by far the highest quality of any picture frame that I've seen.
The only things preventing 5 star...
* I wish it could play movies
* The software to load pictures is not intuitive for people unfamiliar with computers (ie typical grandparents)

I gave this as a gift to my husband who had requested a picture of our new daughter for his desk. Since she grows so fast and we have tons of cute pictures this allows us to see them all! It is also easy to use.
