Digital camera reviews of Philips 7-Inch LCD Digital Photo Frame (Black)Digital camera Review: LCD picture frame Summary: 5 Stars
I really can't say much about the product because I bought it for a wedding gift. I never used it myself. But I can say Amazon was fantastic with their order fullfilment. I ordered it one evening and when I got home from work the very next day it was already here. I don't believe I have ever seen such a fast response. The Amazon shipping department was FANTASTIC!!
Digital camera Review: My Father's Gift Summary: 4 Stars
I got this for my father for his birthday. He just moved six hours away. This was a really good, thoughtful gift. He loved it. I love it too! Easy to use. Picture quality could be a little better. It was decent though.
Digital camera Review: Nice Summary: 5 Stars
I am very pleased with this digital frame. I think that Philips made it very easy to navigate with the different menus and settings. I did get stuck a couple of times. However, once I looked-up my little "snags" in the manual (from the enclosed CD) I was able to remedy my problems. For example I couldn't figure out how to set-up the automatic timer. After looking it up, I learned that instead of saying "turn on/off" it said "start/end dim." I think it's a strange way to phrase the feature but non-the-less it did the job.
I was frustrated when I tried to download pictures from my computer to the frame's internal memory. After fiddling around for a bit, I discovered that you can't download pictures from the computer directly to the frame. Instead, the frame acts more like a memory card reader and the pictures from the computer will be downloaded to the memory card inserted in the frame. After I put the pictures onto my memory card, I was able to go in and transfer the photos from my memory card to the internal memory. I would have liked to be able to download directly without the memory card but the extra step doesn't take that much extra time. Though I rarely use the internal memory. I'd rather display pictures from my memory cards and thumb drive because they store more pictures and usually those pictures are more recent than the pictures on the internal memory. And that way I don't have to display the lame baby picture (the one everyone else has mentioned).
Overall, I give the frame an A. I like the feature (I think it's called radiant color) that bleeds the colors of a picture to the edge of the frame on pictures that don't fit the wide screen size. Most frames have black bars on the edges for pictures that are too small. I am also very pleased with the color and quality of the pictures when they are being displayed. And I love the piano black polished finish - I think it is very sleek and classy.
Digital camera Review: Nice DIgital Frame! Summary: 5 Stars
THis is a pretty good frame. The controls took a little time to figure out and I had to format my sd card to fat32 to make it work. Overall This is a decent frame compared to alot of others. The lcd is pretty bright.
Digital camera Review: Nice picture quality but software sucks! Summary: 2 Stars
Very nice color quality where black is black. I rate this product with only 2 stars because I have spent a lot of time trying to figure out how auto start/off works. And because time is money, this product has a very high price to value ratio. I am not going to reveal the bug that the software has at auto start/off function unless Philips pays me for the time I 've spent. Also the random fuction does not work at all. Generally , I didn't expect such sleazy software form a company named Philips!
