Digital camera Review: Trash, POOR SERVICE,
Summary: 1 Stars

I bought this piece of garbage which worked for 2 months then everything went wrong with it, alarm stopped working (I was Late for Work), clock slowed down & cd player did not work. Called the Company for service and was told that it would cost me the price of a new unit to replace it. the other problem was that I had to make several calls until I was able to get in touch with a person who could understand and talk the english language, I WILL NEVER Purchase anything that has the Philips name on it.

Digital camera Review: Very Bright Display - CD Player acting up after 6 months
Summary: 2 Stars

After 6 months I have deleted my original review... My main beef with this product is that I had to put a pillow in front of the clock to avoid the harshly bright dislpay...it's way too bright in a dark room when you are trying to sleep. More recently (after 6 months), the CD player has taken to stopping in the middle of a CD. The lens over the laser/detector looks clean as a whistle, so I don't have a clue what's broken.

I would not recommend this product, in fact I purchased a new alarm clock that projects the time onto the ceiling because the overly bright AJ3910 was too much work to deal with at night. I Highly recommend getting a clock radio with a dimmer function. I also noticed that it appears this is no longer available directly from Amazon...

Digital camera Review: Very nice
Summary: 4 Stars

This is a pretty good only a couple of small complaints.
1. the numbers are very bright so at times I have to put a barrier up so it doesn't disturb me. My husband likes that the numbers are larger than my previous one so he can see them when he's getting dressed since his doesn't have illuminated numbers.
2. CD/Alarm - I can't fall asleep to a CD if I don't want to be awakend by a CD. You can only select Radio/CD/Alarm.

The "sleep" time between alarms is 6 minutes, which I find odd, but that's fine. Love the 2 alarm settings...one for weekday and one if I need it on the weekends.

Digital camera Review: Very nice
Summary: 4 Stars

I bought this for my son after purchasing two other alarm clock/radio/cd players, both of which worked poorly.

The price is reasonable and, I'm no audio connoisseur, but it sounds great (CD/MP3 player and radio). Best of all, my son loves it.

Digital camera Review: Went downhill fast
Summary: 2 Stars

I've had this clock for about 3 years now in my son's room. I wanted a basic clock, CD player to play his music, listen to the radio, and an alarm for overnight guests who stay in this room. This seemed to be perfect, and it worked quite well for a few months.

Then the CD player stopped registering that there was a disc inside. I would have to turn it on and off a few times before it would read. Then it would get worse, and I would have to open it up and blow out dust off the laser reader. It would work fine for a while, and then we'd repeat the cycle. I've never owned a CD player that had this problem to this extent - I feel like it's constantly getting dust on the lens. Now after about 3 years, I can't get any CDs to read at all, so that feature is useless.

The clock doesn't keep the correct time. About every 3-4 months I have to re-adjust the time by several minutes. Setting the clock time is not as intuitive and it always takes me a few minutes to remember how it's done.

But by far the WORST thing about this clock is the radio reception. Horrible! I can barely pick up one or two stations clearly and the rest are just static. Even if you manage to get the right station tuned in, without touching anything but the power button (gently!!), the next night, the station is lost again. My son has gotten into the habit of listening to classical music during the night. I can't play a CD and I can't get the classical station on the radio. I spend so much time every night trying to tune in the station - reaching over my head, holding it over here, stretching the cord this way and that, I want to throw this thing at the wall. I'm currently trying to find a good replacement because I've had enough!!
