Digital camera Review: Good feature,but risky

I bought this product to replaced my old Philip portable DVD and usually being used by my 5,5 yrs old daughter. The features of the product are pretty good (ipod docking. But, there's no cover on the monitor kind of worry me, because it can be broke easily, and it should stand really in perfect shape otherwise the monitor will look black,so for me this product not as perfect as I expected.Just OK.Digital camera Review: Good, but with some exceptions.

I bought this item when it was an Amazon Deal of the Day, because it seemed like an excellent buy. I was sort of surprised that after a few weeks, the deal price ended up being the permanent price, but that's not that big a deal.
I love the iPod connectivity, which is the main reason I bought the item. It works like a charm. After spending the better part of two days trying to get various movie formats to play using the DVD player, I gave up. The unit plays wonderfully using the iPod or store purchased DVDs, but I would not rely on it to play other file formats.
Several other reviewers remarked on not being able to see the screen from the side, but this wasn't an issue for me. I don't find it any more difficult to view the screen on this unit than I do on any other portable DVD player or my laptop.
I have another, older portable DVD player and this unit runs faster and has a superior image quality.
PROS: Excellent iPod integration, loads quickly, nice display
CONS: Can't find a file format that works on homemade DVDs, screen is exposed and requires a sleeve to keep it from scratching when not in use.

This is great the only thing I would change is the life of the battery mine only last about 40 minutes so philips is send me a new one, but I would like to see them last as long as 3-4 hours may be someday they will until then this is still the best one for your money. the fact that it plays my I-pod and all my Dvd's and has RCA hook ups so I can watch my shows on a big screen ( like when at a hotle on in my yukon) is great for me and my Family.Digital camera Review: Great deal

I dont know what some of the other reviewers are having problems with..? Maybe they got a lemon because mine works PERFECT and has awesome features. It doesnt feel cheap and looks really sleek. We bought 2 of these dvd players for our sales staff to take to meetings with them. As a professional, indoor lacrosse team we sometimes have to show people what our game experience is all about. This was a great tool to do so. Plus, they're always impressed when they pull it out!
