Easy connect and install. Tray a little flimsy, just be careful. Plays pressed DVDs great and burned DVD+Rs, too, but balks at playing DVR+R DL disks (Verbatim). VCR is good with no real complaints. REW/FFW speeds adequate, but no 'super fast mode' so it will take awhile for the entire tape. Easy to program with familiar choices.Digital camera Review: Good product, but limited input

This product is just as described and functions well, however I wish I had been more careful and selected a model with cable/antenna input. With this unit we are unable to receive the signal from our cable company. So we only use it as a player.Digital camera Review: Great Basic Player & Recorder

My father-in-law received this unit for Christmas and we were able to copy 15 year old VHS tapes to DVD (used DVD-R). It allows you to create a basic DVD menu and parse the video into 10 min chapters to easily navigate through the DVD. For our primary purpose it worked well. The biggest plus is that it is simple to use once you read/understand the directions ; ). Overall quality of DVD output was decent considering the original tapes were slightly degraded. We were able to play the recorded DVD on both mac & pc computers as well as on a yamaha and sony DVD player.Digital camera Review: Great Buy!

This is one of the very few old style dvd/vcr combo units stll available. It set up easily.It actually began working on the first try - an unusual occurence for me when dealing with any electronic device! So,it gets 5 ***** for "ease of use." Features are as advertised and what I wanted - so another 5 *****. As for sound quality, I agree with other reviewers - it's not great but since I don't have surround sound it's adequate - so I gave it 4 ****. All in all, a great product for the price. Plays all formats flawlessly. Easy to read remote. Troublefree setup. Philips is a Dutch company which produces quality stuff. Beats the price and quality of any Japanese, Taiwanese, Chinese products.
