this is my first home phone and im very pleased with it, the lcd is bright, the sim card comes in handy, for a quick way of storing numbers on the phones sound hd is okay though when the volume is up high you can here yourself speaking, i hit that. but all the command this phone have works great.Digital camera Review: nice phone,nice shipping

I purchased a Philips SE7452B (with a base station and two handsets) as well as an extra handset from Amazon a few weeks ago. Two of the units have already failed. One of the handsets began life only working in speaker phone mode; I suspect that the small handset speaker is defective.
And starting yesterday, the base unit failed (and thereby all of the handsets.) The latter failure is particularly interesting. The unit no longer can answer or initiate a call on the land line; I suspect that there is a 20 cent relay that no longer closes properly. Philips should have spent 30 cents. The two handsets that used to work still do; one can make a handset-to-handset intercom call.
I gave the unit two stars because before it failed, this phone had a very nice speaker phone function. I recall that Philips tried to market some cool looking cordless phones in the U.S. several years ago and failed due to quality issues. Too bad for them that they still haven't got it.

Thnk goodness my husband is the one who picked out and purchased this phone!! If it had been me I would have no one to blame. All the cons the reviewers ahead of me pointed out are right on.. I think my husband should have read them. For improved battery life, I did purchase new rechargeables but my phone "un registers" constantly it is very irritating.Digital camera Review: sim card

The phone is very light weight and it's easy to knock over. I purchased it mainly because they said it was so easy to transfer your address book from your cell phone to this phone. It isn't. I have asked for tech. help several times ( email). no answer (SE7452B)
