Digital camera reviews of Phonex PX-211D Wireless Web Jack SystemDigital camera Review: I'm glad I gave it a try! Summary: 5 Stars
Purchased these wireless phone jacks to connect my satellite system to the provider (DishNetwork) to avoid two things. I no longer have to run 25' phone cords across the house for pay-per-view and I save the $10/month charge for not having my two receivers in constant connection to Dish. It works great and the payback will start showing up on my satellite bill this month! Easy to install/use...read all of the directions, they're short but necessary, especially to set up the extension unit. I really disliked that charge every month and now I don't have to pay it!
Digital camera Review: Installation easy & works fine Summary: 5 Stars
I needed the phone jack extension because hooking-up two HDTVs to phone jacks in my 58-year old home was not possible. This product enabled me to hook-up the second TV to avoid the $5/month charge from DISH NETWORK. The enclosed, written instructions were good and it perfectly worked. GOOD PRODUCT!
Digital camera Review: Installed, but not quite so easy for me Summary: 4 Stars
It's installed, but it wasn't quite so easy.
Despite the great ease in installing this product (reported by others) my install did not go as smoothly. I needed to hook up a line to my DirecTV TiVo Unit, and it took me an hour due to the fact that TiVo could not detect the Dial Tone (although I could easily hear it by attaching a regular phone). But, after 2 failures, TiVo did provide an option to ignore the search for Dial Tone, and that finally did the trick. I hope that doesn't interfere with other "phone" operations.
As for the various colored Lights, I had difficulty determining what color I had (except Red was clear). But, when they're supposed to be flashing, or on or off is a mystery -- not that it matters now.
Nevertheless, by the end of the hour TiVo had actually connected successfully, and went all the way through its various up-and-down loads again to finally finish the process and disconnect.
One of the biggest problems was trying to find a place to put the Base Unit that would not be anywhere close to a Surge Suppressor or Power Strip (well documented problems by others).
No such luck with the Extension Unit that connects with the TiVo, so we will see if that unit gets degraded and fails due to interference. But the units worked, and have successfully communicated again automatically once time since the install on this day 2.
I also bought an extra extension Unit , but due to all of the limitations it is not clear that it will be usable for a hookup to a Fax machine that should be located between 2 separate Surge Suppressors.
In fairness, I have an RCA Wireless Jack that would not work with my DSL Router, but did work with TiVo. But I could not find another extension unit for it. At least Phonex has them, and so far (one anyway) will work.
I may replace the RCA Unit with the Phonex Extension to save 1 live Jack. The lack of (TiVo) detectable Dial Tone may have something to do with the REN number of (devices attached to) the Phone Line -- which Phonex says should not exceed 5. That's an easy number to exceed with all of today's Home "Communications". The RTX units mentioned by another reviewer could possibly conflict with other 2.4 Ghz units, so here's hoping for successful Phonex.
I will update this, if needed, for significant problems or successes I get with these units, but it would be a good idea to take a look at several of the excellent Reviews for this product before buying.
Digital camera Review: It just works... Summary: 5 Stars
We needed to get a phone jack into one of the rooms in our home. The jack was to enable the Directv box to get caller id and put it on the tv. Running phone lines would have been very difficult due to the positioning of the room. We ordered these and plugged them in. No fiddling, no fumbling, just plugged them in as instructed and they worked.
Thanks for a product that did as advertised at a reasonable cost.

Digital camera Review: It's paid for itself! Summary: 5 Stars
I got this about a year ago to stop the $5 Dish Network fees and it has paid for itself. It's worked fine except it lost communication once and I just had to unplug it and plug it back in. I also have DSL and a fax machine and there's no issues. Caller ID on Dish works fine too.
