We use this for our Fax machine as we don't have a phone jack near the fax machine. It does work well as instructed.
We had a similar GE product, which stopped working after about 2 years. We had a small surge protector plugged into the outlet next to it and am wondering if that may have caused the deterioration of the GE model. We have removed the surge protector in the other outlet, as this present company suggested to do that in their instructions. These products are very sensitive to lightning, which we get a lot of in Southwest Florida, so I try to unplug it whenever there is lightning.
Too bad they don't make this product for the 4 in one copy, fax, scan, print machines. They have wireless printers, but they can't be used for faxing without connecting to a phone line. I would hope that would be the next new product coming out in the future.

I am very pleased with the performance of the Easy Jack. I have it plugged into my media room wall outlet and connected to the satelite receiver. It transmits to DISH network every day and saves me a $5/month fee ( if i were not connected to DISH via phone line) .I have no hard wired phone jack in this room and the easy jack is a great substitute phone connection. Works very well.

The home we purchased had a phone jack on the South wall and the entertainment niche on the West wall which required running a phone cord along the south wall amd across the fireplace and into the niche. This product allowed us to connect our satellite dish without the unsightly cord strung across the room and took care of the puppies always attempting to chew the cord. Maybe I just got one made on a Monday or Friday, but neither I nor two other people could get this to function with my DirecTV DVR receiver, We followed all instruction to the letter, both for set up and troubleshooting. The flashing lights are impressive, and can lead you to believe you're doing something. But alas, "HAL" is neither foolproof nor incapable of error. If you need frustration in your life, buy this item. It's found its final resting place in the back of the junk drawer.
