I ordered this product to wireless accese my Tivo, from one floor of my home to another, a distance of 18 feet and the product did not work. It would not pick up the signal from the base unit. I tried closer locations, but it still didn't work. I had to get a different brand locally and that worked fine. Now I'm stuck with one that doesn't work and no way to return it.Digital camera Review: Doesn't work

I got this wireless web jack specifically to connect to our Dish HD Receiver after reading other reviews. The receiver has to be connected to a phone jack for a number of reasons. One of which is that you save a $5 / month charge. The installation was as easy as plugging the components into electricaL outlets and connecting cables. It passed my first two tests. I called my home telephone number and it popped up on the TV screen so I know it receives calls. I could view my statement from the the customer support feature so I know it dials out.
Since I do not use it for connecting a telephone, I do not know if that would work or what sound quality it would have.

I have not any problems with this unit. It works fine. I placed the base in my bedroom and use a phone in the living room. I was skeptical that it would work, but it does! There is an occasional him when I anser the phone in the living room, but once it establishes the connection, it goes away.
