I bought this for my daughter's room because she didnt' have a phone jack and I thought it clevor to have a wireless one since kids change their rooms around all the time. We were pretty excited about the concept, however, it doesn't work well at all. It's a bunch of static. Can hear the other person, but definitely something wrong with the Jack. I wouldn't recommend it nor spend that much on it. We didn't return it because what a hassle to return and pay for shipping again and my daughter was just excited to have the phone working.Digital camera Review: Great for Satellite Plug-in.

This does exactly what I wanted it to do: Allow me to plug in my satellite receiver where there was no phone jack. I have about a 30-foot jump across the room and it is making the connection. When I tested for a dial-tone, though, there was a bit of static on the line so using this as an actual "phone" jack, it did not have a good enough connection for me. It may have had a clearer signal had it not had to jump so far. It is, however, accomplishing the task perfectly of allowing me to eliminate the monthly charge associsated with my satellite service if the receiver wasn't connected to a phone-jack. Data transmission (ordering movies, etc.) is fine. I'd recommend for that purpose. If, however, you need a phone in a room, it may not be the best if you have a larger room.Digital camera Review: Great product for an even better price!

Worked just fine....... as advertised, but only for about 3 months and then it simply stopped functioning. The lights lit up indicating it was properly connected, etc. but it wouldn't transmit anymore or something.Digital camera Review: How to eliminate noise problems

Our Dish Network tech installed one of these when we upgraded to HD service. It was useless because the noise (on a voice line that also has DSL on it) was astounding. Putting a DSL filter on the "upstream" side of the Easy Jack had no effect. However, inserting the DSL filter on the INCOMING phone line to Easy Jack eliminated ALL the noise. It seems as though (not surprising), if the Easy Jack gets a noisy line, it simply passes the noise on. So the trick is to filter before it gets to the Easy Jack.
