I didn't buy this on Amazon, but I do have this in my car. I love it, except for the controls. They can be extremely complicated sometimes, but once you can figure it out, it's a little easier to use. The equilizer settings are good and the as far as playability is concerned, I feel it works great. This is an excelent "price vs features" pionner radio, i bought it because i wanted a full interaction between my radio and my iphone, despite it's designed for ipods, works excellent with the original iphone, then i switched to iphone 3gs ands works too, but as the new pin distribution in the 3gs the radio doesn't charge the phone.. thats ok to me as the 3gs came out about a year or year and a half later.. so i recommend this pionner 100%. of course you need the pionner cdi200 cable 17 to 20$ valued to connect the radio with the ipod or iphone.
The only con i found 2 years later, with an average daily use, is the volume knob, it looks like the nickel painting in the edges dissapears periodically and the edges looks black, givin the radio an ugly old look.. but despite that everything works as new.

I had to upgrade my car stereo and after some research I came to the conclusion that this radio was the best bang for the buck. I was right. Looks awesome with the metal details and also it sounds great!! I love it! would recommend this item to anyone. Of course this radio doesnt have bluetooth which is something that I wanted but I bought a Plantronics headset instead for about $30 to have that which I needed for the car.
This is a great car stereo, its a Pioneer!!

I bought this radio when the CD player of my previous radio bit the dust. I wanted something that I could hook up my iPOD shuffle to. Note for those of you who have an iPOD shuffle, you can't use the cable that runs into your glove compartment from the stereo. But don't worry you can get a double sided mini plug cable that will plug your shuffle into the radio's auxillary jack. It won't be able to show artist/title etc. but it works like a charm! The plug will cost $2, don't bother with the radio transmitter, and don't let a salesman convince you that you need an expensive part.
This radio has a lot of bells & whistles that I haven't even brushed on yet, but so far I couldn't be happier. Also the price is right compared to other radios with similar features. I recommend it.
