Digital camera reviews of Pioneer FH-P8000BT Double Din In-Dash CD/Mp3/Wma/iTunes AAC/Wav ReceiverDigital camera Review: i did my research too Summary: 5 StarsI shopped around, read reviews from a ton of sites, read the specs back and forth and even compared stereos from different sites. There were a few things that I was looking for when it came to investing into a new stereo for my car. It needed to be able to play multiple audio files, have some type of bluetooth capability for my iphone.
I know that some bluetooth products are incompatable with the iphone and this stereo works out perfectly. I just installed it a few hours ago and have been playing around with it. so far, so good. It was my first attempt at installing a car stereo and I must say, it was fairly simple. I have an 08 toyota matrix and had to use all the adapters that came with the installation kit (which CRUTCHFIELD) was generous enought to give me for free.
They didn't fit perfectly, but with a few simple mods of my own I was able to install it just fine. the mic that it comes with is 13 ft. long and i hid it behind my rearview mirror with excess cord.
I highly recommend this stereo if you want an all-in-one product. what drew me to it was the blue tooth connectivity already built in to it. no $200 bluetooth kits needed and it connected very easily.
It's a great product for a great price with lots of options that I haven't even looked into yet (aux, subs, etc...) but know that if I upgrade my system that I'll be able to no problem. Not to mention that it's one sexy piece of work.

Digital camera Review: My review Summary: 4 Starsoverall its a great deck. I put the hd radio in and it sounds great. The only fault it has is the center knob is extremely scratch prone. I scratched it up in only in the first week, it looks so ugly. Also pairing my Verizon Env was some what difficult but once you get it done it works flawlessly.
Digital camera Review: Great Unit, some minor issues Summary: 4 StarsI purchased this unit for my 2004 Subaru Forester. What I was looking for was a head unit that would (1) allow me to pair my iPhone to make calls and (2) allow me to play music through the iPhone or any other iPod.
On these two items, the unit delivers fantastically.
Installation was very easy, and I only had to systematically look for the best place to put the microphone for optimum sound quality.
Only (minor) negatives are the following (why I only gave it 4 stars):
- When the iPhone is plugged into the USB port, and you make a phone call, there is a lot of interference. This only happens when the phone making the call is also connected to the unit through the USB. If another iPhone or iPod is connected to the unit, the noise is completely gone. Basically, I remedy this by unplugging the iPhone prior to taking a call.
- Menu navigation is a bit cumbersome at first, but quickly makes sense.
- Old iPods (I also have an iPod mini) will not work with this unit.
Pros:
- Easy connectivity through bluetooth (no other problem).
- Connectivity through the USB allows for full control of the iPod using the head unit: Just plug your iPod in (I have it wired into the armrest), and forget about it.
- Good music sound quality.
Overall, this provided me with everything I needed. A quick note: when I contacted the Pioneer folks about whether my iPhone would work with this unit, they said I'd need a different cable to connect through the head unit. They don't know their own products: You can use the CD-IU50 or the USB cable that came with your iPhone/iPod with no problem. This technically frees us the serial port for a CD changer, but you probably will never need one of these again.
Digital camera Review: great deck to pair with my iphone Summary: 4 StarsI bought this deck to install in my 2001 Toyota Camry, it fits perfectly and looks great. The bluetooth call quality is very good, and the ability to play and charge my iPhone through the USB port is great. I would definitely recommend this deck for anyone with a double-DIN size opening in their car who wants to be able to take calls through the stereo and play their iPod without having to buy any additional adapters.
Two small complaints though. The remote that came with it is not very sturdy, mine is already coming apart at the edges. And there is no pause button on either the deck or the remote. There is a mute button, but no pause. Pause can only be reached by going into the playback menu. This is annoying, but had I known about it before it would not have kept me from buying.
This deck is a great value, looks cool, and works well. What else could you want? I installed it myself and it was a breeze, just pick up a wiring harness for your particular car and you're all set.
Digital camera Review: Great radio for the price!!!! Summary: 5 StarsThis radio is an exceptional radio for the price that you pay for it. It has lots of adjustment to tailer the music to suit your taste. The bluetooth phone connection works great, people tell me that I sound very clear. I couldn't be happier with this radio, it is great, and highly recommended!
