Digital camera reviews of Plantronics CT12 2.4 GHz DSS Cordless Headset Phone with Caller IDDigital camera Review: Best cordless hands-free set available - far better than the CT10 Summary: 4 Stars
Best cordless hands-gree phone I've found. I just bought my second one. I've tried several, including the Plantronics CT10 (which you should avoid!). The CT12 has great range, long talk-time (~5-6 hours), good phone-book features and decent CID display. It has survived being dropped numerous times, which is a good thing, as the belt clip is totally worthless. The head-set is light and comfortable, and has good sound quality.
Only complaints are: 1) the belt-clip is worse than useless 2) The mute button is the same size/color as the other buttons (and is used a lot if you do conference calls much) 3) The "muted" indication is only on the display - an indicator light would be a nice feature to have.
Digital camera Review: Best cordless headset phone I ever owned Summary: 5 Stars
The sound is nearly flawless and the people on the other side of the phone are happy too.
Great little product -- the range is phenomenal too.

I've used CT 10s and now the CT 12 for years. Can't say enough for them. I'm in a business where I like to have my hands free and not be tethered to a wire. At age 65, the volume on the CT 10 (no adjustment) was just getting to low on the listening end. The CT 12, slightly larger than the 10, solved the problem. On "medium" I can hear most people just fine. If I get a "low talker" I click it up a notch which solves the issue. I've never had to use max volume.
The CT 12 is in an area with three phone lines, DSL line, 4 telephones, two computers and a fax machine. It interferes with none of the equipment. The range is at least 60 feet. Headset fits perfectly.
One suggestion: I put the home unit up high on top of a 6' bookcase. It keeps the unit the furthest away from all the other equipment.
The pad buttons are small but that is due to small size of the pad...which is a major advantage.
If you want a phone that is both hands free and can be walked around with, the CT 12 is "da bomb"!
Digital camera Review: Best(very small), and best sound quality ever! Summary: 5 Stars
I just got a used CT12 2.4 GH phone, and it's sound quality is great! Unlike my last 2.4 GH phone, this one doesn't interfere with the microwave. even when i'm standing next to it. This is a overall very good phone, except the buttons are kindof small. But that's nothing.
Digital camera Review: Bumped the WiFi, had to return Summary: 1 Stars
I read about previous customers having problems with the phone interfering with their wireless routers and figured maybe I'd have better luck. After two separate attempts, both of which knocked both my husband and I off our network, I called Plantronics. Tech support said "yep, there's nothing that can be done" and I mentioned this was rather unfortunate. (I think it's silly that my 2.4 GHz Vtech house phone doesn't interfere, but the CT12 does.) I really liked the CT10 I've been using for years, but have been longing for some caller ID attached to my hip with the phone. Looks like after extensive research I'm going to end up with an expandable cordless set that is on the 5.8 GHz range in hopes of beating this "unfortunate" problem.
Tech support @ Plantronics mentioned they have no plans in the near future to release a different spectrum of a phone, so it looks like for now, I'm S.O.L.
Hope Plantronics soon understands many of their home users of the cordless headsets need to be near their wireless router when they are working and can't separate phone from computer time!
