Digital camera Review: 11 feet of wire!

I just received these headphones and have not used them enough to comment on their sound quality. The installation of the drivers was simple enough.
However, this headset includes 11 feet of wire!! I bought the FOLDING set of headphones because I thought they would be more portable. What part of portable does Plantronics not understand? 11 feet of cable is 8 feet more than I need on a portable set of headphones.

i didn't really use it everyday but i did use it often and then after 2 years all of a sudden the left ear no longer had sound.
i still though it was a good headset though. Gotta love that volume and mute button!

I got this product hoping it is an easy plug and play one, but wait, it is not. When first plugged in, no sound at all, the worse part is that it muted my laptop speaker after I unplugged it, I have to google around and find out my only option is to uninstall laptop driver and restart computer in order to get back my laptop speaker.
After a few computer restarts, I finally got it working. The voice has a poor quality, feels like somebody is speaking from a distance, and it is not comfortable for wearing over 20 minutes.
If I can decide its price, I would label it as $4.99, it doesn't worth any more.

As with the DSP-500 headsets my company is using for their VOIP phone system, a test unit of this model also intermittently loses it's microphone audio--people can't hear me on the other end of the line--and the red mute light on the cord stays lit and can't be turned off. I've found this to be a chronic issue with these USB DSP headsets. You have to unplug/replug in the headset, then reboot--a total hassle in a corporate environment.
On the other hand this unit is much lighter and more comfortable than the bulky DSP-500 units, and the sound quality is good, when it works.

One of the better headsets Ive owned to date. I play HL games and this by far is the best one for voice communication yet! Very clear, and no background noise or static at all. Very comfortable and the sound quality is awesome. the only problem is that it is foldable so it fold on you whren trying to put it on from time to time, but otherwise, it geta A+s all around. And for less than $45, it is a great deal compared to other high quality mic headsets. And trust me, I spent a lot of money on other headsets, logitech and cyber acoustics (well CA was pretty good too, but too expensive for the good pair so this Plantronics if worth it), but no one is such a good pair for such a good price. Recommend for all gaming and/or internet calls/chatting!
