Digital camera reviews of Plantronics DSP-400 Digitally-Enhanced USB Foldable Stereo Headset and SoftwareDigital camera Review: Good audio output but compatibility issues Summary: 2 Stars
The audio output was great... Computer detects it by itself when plugged in. But some real problems with compatibility. I could not use it with yahoo messanger for voice chat. I called customer care and they were not sure and adviced me to install the required codecs. I also noticed that when we are already playing some audio and then try plugging it in, some times it does not get detected and some times you can hear music on it but it would not mute the pc speaker. Strange !!! May be it should come with an instruction manual and a driver cd if needed. In any case I just returned it within 30 days.
Digital camera Review: Good for the quality Summary: 4 Stars
The Sound Quality Is Superb and matches that of several $100 Headsets. I was unsure at first when ordering but found this headset to be a good match to those I usually Buy. namely Altec Lansing as the most affordable and yet still high in quality. The quality is both in perfomance and in structure. While this headset may break if you threw it on the ground. I find that it is Ideal for Gaming as well as Skype. If you have a problem with the usb go to altec Lansings site and order their cheap behind the ears fold-up model thats like $24. That will work anywhere and in both PC and stereo or what have you. Overall this product was good and the negative people really don't realize what a bargain it is. I recommend this for gamers that have little preference on a headset and for business. IT has a very clear mic that is its prime feature. Once again the seperate Volume Control is a problem in some level for those who are not very organized but its a small flaw. Buy this product If you want a good headset. if not I told oyu where to go. Before you doubt me Buy this or the other product I suggested.
I realize this is alot to read but I feel its a concise statement of the product.
And if you want a truegame to test tihs set out on it would be the Myst V game because of the superb sounds.
Happy Gaming!

Digital camera Review: Good functional product but my head is killing me Summary: 3 Stars
The quality of the sound is excellent, volume controls are convenient, length of cable fine, etc; but the physical headset leaves a lot to desire for.
Headset is uncomfortable, pointy, sharpie and not made thinking on the physical comfort of the user. Some of the issues are:
1. The thin axle that holds left and right side together slips out and needs to be pushed back in coastally.
2. The joint were the left and right halves divide in half again uses a screw for pivot that put pressure on the user's head (very painful).
3. There is not way to go to Plantronics website and place a complain, or request some type of help from customer service for the product. I tired.
If I could I would have it replaced because I need to have this thing on my head all the time and by end of business day I either have a headache or feel so light weighted that I feel could fly.
Digital camera Review: Good product Summary: 5 Stars
Good sound quality for Skype. But I echo what other people have said -- needlessly long cord, and it does not come with any instructions for use. I thought I needed a CD/software, but it turns out you don't. Just have to find your way in finally being able to use it -- just plug it in a USB port/hub and adjust Skype settings accordingly.
Digital camera Review: Good quality for voip, but a bit bulky Summary: 4 Stars
Good headset. Folds into a reasonable size, and adjusts well to fit head. Sound quality in the headphones is good and the microphone has good reception. I use this with a laptop for on-line, voip conference calls. It works very well and no one on the calls has mentioned any issues with the quality of the sound.
I use these with a Windows XP setup, and had some trouble getting them to work properly with the plug and play setup. I downloaded drivers from plantronics and have had no issues since. I only plug them in when I am going on a conference call, the usb port picks them up without issue and they work fine.
The cord and 'block' are big & get in the way... my only gripe.
