Digital camera reviews of Plantronics MX500i 3-in-1 HeadsetDigital camera Review: A much better headset than the others I have used. Summary: 4 Stars
I have to wear it all day long and with my other headsets that had background noise cancelling, often customers could not hear me because there would be a distortion. Since, I got this, not one has said he or she could not hear me. And I can hear much better too. I never have to talk louder. After about 6 or 7 hours, my ear gets tired of the part that goes into my ear but I have worn others that were not as comfortable so it is not the most comfortable. I really like it and I am glad I got it.
Digital camera Review: Anything before "but" doesn't matter Summary: 4 Stars
I have purchased several of this style headset out of a local office supply store. They sold for around 50.00 each time. Usually lasted me about 2 to 3 months tops. I am on the phone all day with my job and usually run a 16 hour day.
The sound quality on this is awesome. I could hear clearly and others could hear me without any trouble. Lightweight and easy to use. Loved the mute button and noise reduction feature.
But...the swivel ear piece is the problem. The design is good and yet flawed. It will wear and break right at the swivel in due time. I could angle it nicely in my ear but eventually I would feel a rough scratch to my ear canal and find it was due to a cracked swivel. I even tried super gluing the swivel once it was set to fit my ear just to keep the damaged swivel from breaking more. The thin layer of rubber that runs along the ear piece itself, will start to wear and peel away too.
In the long run, what I was paying for it was not worth the investment over and over. I see it's cheaper here so maybe I will try it again. I hate the "over the head" style but love plantronics. They need to buff up the design a bit more. I expected this to last longer than it did for the price.
Digital camera Review: Are we reviewing the same item? Summary: 1 Stars
Because I couldn't get this thing to fit my ear. Even when seated properly, the slightest movement causes the earpiece to dislodge from the ear, the rubber support to droop, and the boom to fly outward. I then had to gently wrestle this contraption back into place only to have it happen again moments later. The earpiece isn't even shaped properly. I felt as though I was trying to shove a golf ball in my ear. I didn't even get a chance to test the sound quality becasue I couldn't keep it on. Maybe my ears are just too weird for the average human, but this thing was a total loss for me.
Digital camera Review: Awesome! Summary: 5 Stars
I was shopping for an earpiece headset that I can use for SKYPE, voice recognition in Microsoft Vista, my home phone and my cell phone [a Samsung Blackjack, for which I did have to buy a small adapter]. It was difficult to find one that would work really well in all of these situations. This Plantronics is perfect! I liked it so much I bought a second one to keep in my car just to use with my Blackjack. I would highly recommend this product.
Digital camera Review: Best Home Office Headset by far Summary: 5 Stars
I have used many Plantronics headsets for my home office. This headset is comfortable, is very well built and allows you to type and work while listening and speaking on the phone. It makes me twice as productive and I highly recommend this headset for any home office users with a audio jack on their phone. Great price too!
