Digital camera Review: Best VOIP and Game communication headset
Summary: 5 Stars

For those that just want a headset to communicate with others while either playing games or using VOIP programs this is the best headset. I'm not a fan of using stereo headsets to play games because I want to hear the game as it is intended on full surround sound. So instead of getting one of those bulky ones that cover up your ears I decided to try this one out. It is by far the most comfortable little headset. I can hear and be heard very clear.

There are no cons with this headset that I have ran across. Installation was very easy and 3rd party software programs like TeamSpeak and Ventrillo work with it perfectly.

Digital camera Review: Best for my money so far.
Summary: 5 Stars

This headset is very comfortable. It's extremely(!) lightweight. It is adjustable to work in either ear. I love it.

The clarity and timbre of my voice is regularly reviewed very highly by those with whom I speak -- by phone or over the internet. To confirm this, I had a friend call me with it from another room and the sound was, in fact, astounding.

Their "WindSmart" technology is simply this: The microphone is up in the earpiece (rather than right in front of your mouth) and the attached stem is a hollow straw which collects your voice from its source without exposing the microphone itself to any moving wind. It's simple and brilliant. Whereas previously I had to dive to cup the microphone of my phone or headset and apologize for the wind, now my instincts are met with, "Huh? What wind?"

The 3-in-1 bit is a nice feature in that it can do double duty for both phoning and internet chatting -- a good bang for you buck in that respect, to be sure.

The volume wheel and mute button are right where I need them to be; my only (minor) beef is that, when muting the microphone, there is a (minor) audible 'poof' on the line -- thus prompting more than one person to pause and ask what that was, or if I was still there, etc., rather than allowing me to discretely clunk some dishes around while continuing to listen).

It isn't perfect; of course, nothing is. It still gets 5 stars rather than 4 in light of its many terrific features. If I lost or broke this one, I would be sure to replace it with another. Good job, Plantronics.

Digital camera Review: Better than expected
Summary: 4 Stars

This headset worked even better than I expected. It's comfortable and doesn't interfere with glasses or hair-dos. The sound is clear and I'm told by those on the other end of our VoIP calls, that they can hear me clearly, as well. The only complaint I have is that it's not wireless, but then I knew that when I bought it. Works well with Skype and also for listening to news reports, etc. via the computer without annoying everyone around you.

Digital camera Review: Comfortable headset
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this headset as a replacement to the last plantronics headset predecessor to this one. I liked the old one so much that when after 5yrs of use I replaced it with an identical model(couple of upgrades) when my old one broke. Comfortable and crystal clear.

Digital camera Review: Comfortable, durable wired headset, except the mute button
Summary: 5 Stars

I use this headset most of the day plugged in to my mobile phone. It's lasted for years, once I learned to not use the mute button on the headset cord. Instead, I use the mute on my phone. Plantronics pleasantly exchanged my first headset when the mute button (a slide toggle or switch) stopped working...on mute. The inline control has mute, listening volume and another control that I think is microphone volume. It's nice to not have to reach to my ear to adjust any of these.
The fit of the headset is great. I hardly notice it's there, and I like that the microphone is close to my mouth. It gives me confidence that folks on the other end can clearly hear me. Bluetooth never gives me that confidence.
I also use the headset with Skype calls using the included USB adapter.
If something happened to this one, I would buy another.
