Digital camera Review: Best cordless headset/phone I've ever used
Summary: 5 Stars

I work out of my home office when I'm not on the road and spend a considerable amount of time on the phone. I had been using the Plantronics CT12 cordless headset for a number of years and it worked great. However, the CT12 requires the headset to be connected to the handset with a cord that I often caught on things such as a doorknob when I was walking around. This unit is completely cordless - both from the handset to the base and the headset to the handset. I can move around as much as I like and the range to the base unit is outstanding. I love it. Excellent audio quality in both directions.
It's extremely easy to set up and the bluetooth headset is easily paired with my cell phone. This phone has more functionality than I need, such as voice over IP. It certainly satisfies all my requirements for a good cordless headset/phone. The only negative comment I have is that there is not a two line version of this phone available.
If you're looking for a good home bluetooth phone, I think this phone should be a good option for most people.

Digital camera Review: Best of Class
Summary: 4 Stars

LOVE the bluetooth headset. Pared easily with my computer so I can use it with Skype. Works great with the Plantronics phone too. You can easily transfer from the handset, to the speakerphone, to the headset - generally no one can tell if I am on the headset or the handset. Can't wait to pair it with my cell phone. All in all a great idea. My only complaint is that sometimes the handset buttons act wierd when I try to dial a call with it docked in the charging station. Not sure if it is how I have docked it or?? It works fine out of the dock.

Digital camera Review: Best phone I have ever owned!
Summary: 5 Stars

The title says it all. The sound quality is amazingly clear and the headpiece fits perfectly. I work from home and this phone has been one of the best additions to my office in a long time. I can wear the headpiece all day without problems. The phone also comes with a fantastic speaker phone on the handset. The menus on the phone are highly intuitive and easy to navigate.

I was able to effortlessly synchronize my Outlook contacts with the included software. I have over 400 Outlook contacts and the phone only holds 200. During the synch process, I was able to select only those entries that I needed (which only came out to 98 contacts!). When I want to add a name, I use the Outlook Phonebook Utility on my laptop and save it (synch) to the phone.

Battery life has not been an issue. I have been able to use it for several days without returning it to the base for a charge.

I had to contact customer service with a question on "Registering the handset to the Base". Everything was working out of the box, however, I wanted to know how to manually register (the manual was not very clear on this). The customer service representative was able to answer my question in minutes. Great customer support.

I only wish Plantronics had a two-line version of this phone. The price tag is on the high end ($249.00); however this phone has been worth every penny. I highly recommend this phone.

Digital camera Review: Best phone ever!
Summary: 5 Stars

Almost everything about this phone is great. The numbers on the dial pad are a bit small, but still functional. Headset works great, ability to link to other Bluetooth devices a plus.

Digital camera Review: Better choice for PC than Mac, unfortunately
Summary: 3 Stars

This is a truly lovely wireless phone with excellent comfort, portability, range and noise cancellation. I've been using it for several months in a very noisy server room environment. Having gone through multiple supposedly "noise canceling" phones, this is the first one that really passed muster with customers.

I had been using this on my standard phone line and integrated it with my laptop's Outlook directory. Simple, easy and excellent! Within 5 minutes I had 200 contacts loaded onto the phone. It's nice that you can manually edit the phone numbers and contact information before they're loaded onto the phone so you don't wind up with extraneous data.

I just switched over to using VOIP instead of a phone line, and decided to use this with my Mac instead of Windows. Honestly, it's not so good. Unlike other phones that are specifically designed to be VOIP phones, you can't dial the phone through the handset anymore - you have to use the softphone. You can answer and disconnect calls, but that's all.

The software for the Mac is not as mature as it is for the PC, either. The Calisto Pro utility for the Mac frequently loses connectivity to the Mac and doesn't show up in the utility bar that it's lost its connection. So, you'll be dialing away through the softphone only to hear your party answering - and you're not audible. It's not a very professional image to present if you're using this for work, as I do.

So far, the software for Windows is more reliable. No matter which operating system - once you have a successful connection, sound quality is excellent. The earpiece is very comfortable and the device has wonderful range.

I'd like to see Plantronics improve the quality, reliability and feature set of the VOIP offering for this device. Otherwise, it's a pretty expensive wireless USB headset - albeit one with excellent clarity and range.
