Digital camera Review: Good value for money

This apparel provides good value for money. It's not the most expensive scanner around, though the results are pretty good. I say pretty since I am not impressed with the quality of its output. Also it takes quite some time to acquire an image scan in significant resolution.
However, the slide containers are easy to operate, and operating the machine in between other activities is the way to go.

After researching scanners for slides and film, I decided on the OpticFilm 7200. I saw very few negative reviews and for good reason. This scanner has done everything I wanted, which was to scan in to digital format 45 year old family slides that were soon headed for the trash bin. (We are such a throw-away society!) I bought this to scan a bit over a thousand negatives. There's a short learning curve. Once you figure out the "tweaks" to make the scans come out their best you will have great scans!
Its fairly quick on scans and I was done with my negatives in a bit over a week. I saved a ton of money with this machine.

Easy set up, push button use. I couldn't ask for it to be any better. I've done quite a few slides and the only problems with the scans were because of the slides (off color, scratches, etc.). I have not had a chance to try scanning negatives, but the process should be just as simple.
I highly recommend this product.

I have several thousands of slides to scan so I do it at 1200. I am very pleased with the results. The detents for the slide carrier are just right. I would not like them any heavier. The scanning is much faster than expected. The actual scan takes 7sec to preview and 12sec final. I think it is a great scanner for the money.
