Adding to the quality is the non-resonant medium-density fiberboard (MDF) enclosure, the 0.75-inch baffles, and the internal bracing, all of which contribute to the sub's superior detail, accuracy, and musicality. Meanwhile, the PSW12's built-in high-current amplifier (100 watts continuous, 260 watts dynamic) supplies all the power you need for big bass. And thanks to the adjustable low-pass crossover, phase switch, and volume control, it's easy to blend your sub's output with your front and rear speakers. The sub even includes automatic signal-sensing circuitry, so it instinctively knows when to turn itself on and off.

Though the PSW12 will work with any speakers, the sub is specifically designed to complement the clean, stylish look and robust sound of Polk's entire Monitor speaker line. The cherry finish is particularly compelling, with a neutral wood color that fits seamlessly in most surroundings.

Connectivity stems from the line- and speaker-level inputs, along with the unfiltered LFE input. The combined options make it easy to connect the PSW12 with any receiver or amplifier.
