As a distributed meeting facilitator, I frequently need to work with mixtures of people both live and on the phone. Particularly across continents, VOIP connections are very cost effective as long as the fidelity and volume are suitable. Unfortunately, provided meeting facilities rarely are adequate to this task. I brought the C100S speakerphone to a recent meeting in Europe and connected it to a variety of computers, using a variety of VOIP applications including Skype and Gizmo. It did a great job of both projecting the callers' voices and capturing sound in the room, generally providing a sound quality sufficient so as not to distract from our discussion itself.
