You get what you pay for....This is a cheap plastic device that is difficult to use. Your computer will slide around on it, if you actually get it to fit. Take the time, do some research and spend the money on an effective peice of equipment. Digital camera Review: Effective & Great Price!

Well what can i say, it's a foam piece of goodness and very lightweight.
I have a 14.1 inch laptop and it fits it perfectly and the foam grips it well. I was having overheating problems with my laptop and had 2 hard drive crashes before i finally realized it was due to overheating problems.
Before i ordered this i had to prop my laptop up on a book or something to keep the bottom ventilated because it only has one fan. The product itself doesn't have any fans on it of course, but it does a great job of keeping laptops elevated to let air pass through. I also set my BIOS settings to run the cpu fan all the time when the AC adapter is plugged in and i run the SpeedFan app to keep track of my temperatures and all is well!! **I'm giving hints and tips here people! LoL**
I don't recommend it for larger laptops because as said it is kind of small. I have a 14.1 inch screen and it doesn't even cover the whole bottom of my laptop. I only gave it 4 stars because IMO they should have included a couple of velcro strips to mount it to the bottom of the laptop, that would have been a plus! But i'm going to do that myself =-).
Definately worth the [...] bucks i paid for it though!

The idea behind this product is good. However, it is really really annoying because I have to keep adjusting my computer - make sure it's balanced... It's way too small for my 16" laptop. I'm seriously considering getting a different stand. Digital camera Review: Good product for the price

I've been using this with my HP Pavilion dv6000t for a couple weeks now. It does it's job well. I haven't had any problems with the laptop slipping off of the cooling pad.
My only gripes are that it's made of foam, and not rubber. It gets dents from the bottom of the laptop. Also, I like to use my laptop with the battery taken out of it when it's plugged in to lengthen the life of the battery, but it doesn't sit as well on this pad because of the placement of the battery cavity. Although, I can't blame Handstands for this, if the pad was made of rubber it would not be dented by the edges of the battery cavity or the laptop's feet.
Bottom line: Good product for great price. If it was made of rubber, it would have received 5 stars.

it's really pretty small and just a cheap piece of plastic foam. i may mount it on a larger piece of thin plywood and put padding on the underside to make a bed desk. eh.
