Digital camera reviews of Power Sentry S10056800103/17 ShopLogic Power Squid Surge Protector (Black/Yellow)Digital camera Review: I LOVE THIS THING!!!!! Summary: 5 Stars
My friends at the dorms recommended the Powersquid to me and it's the best thing that's ever happened to my home office. Not only does it save me the trouble of finding different ways to arrange a bunch of bulky plugs into 3 different power strips, it's much nicer to look at too. I just wish that it was like a real squid with 8 "tentacles" instead of 5 - I have that many things to plug in! But that just encouraged me to buy more Powersquids. :)
Digital camera Review: Luv the name "powersquid!" Summary: 4 Stars
Great product so far for my office. Much easier to use than power strip. I affixed it to the wall next to my computer: it's off the floor and within reach. 'Gave it 4 stars to alert you to the size: it is not a discreet piece of equipment, if that is important to you.
Digital camera Review: MUCH bigger than I anticipated Summary: 4 Stars
This is an ingenious design, but it's a lot bigger than I thought it would be, more for a garage/power tools setting than home office. I hope they have one that isn't all three-prong outlets. It's really HUGE.
Digital camera Review: My fourth PowerSquid Summary: 5 Stars
I replaced all the power strips i was using with the PowerSquid. This is a great product for cleaning up all the jumbled wires behind the computer and the TV, with room for adapters, PLUS the surge suppressor protection. I'll be getting more.
Digital camera Review: Perfect for those large brick power adapters Summary: 5 Stars
I've used a few of these for a couple of years now and am very pleased. The rating is not as high as it could be, but I use it for the things on my beside table that are all low voltage. This includes my cell phone, mp3 player, pocket pc, phone, lamp, and other similar items.
No, it's not small and not really pretty (it is a surge protector after all, not an accessory item for your living room). However, I don't lose one or two plug-ins due to a large brick style plug either like I did with the standard power strip/surge protector. I keep it under the table and out of the way. I will say that it has a rather bright light which is squelched by virtue of being under the table.
Previously, I used the power liberator plugs to eliminate the issue but I really like this instead. Amazon's price is excellent as well!
