Digital camera reviews of Power Supply Tester 2.0 20/24Digital camera Review: Did what I needed Summary: 4 StarsEasy to use and quickly identified that my power supply was shot. I would recommend for folks like me with limited knowledge about reparing computers.
Digital camera Review: It only tells if your power supply is dead Summary: 3 StarsMy PS failed to power up the PC. It turned out that the 12+V line is 10.99V which is below the min spec of 11.4V. A new PS did the trick. However, when I tested the damaged PS with this device, all LEDs show green. This device will be good if the PS is dead; it can tell you that. Otherwise, it will give you a wrong assumption (some previous users made comments on this but I failed to pay attention to. This review is to re-emphasize this fact). A good old multimeter is the way to go.
Digital camera Review: Power Supply Tester Summary: 5 StarsThis product has worked well. It's easy to use and it's accurate. Testing a Power Supply couldn't be easier - plug in the end connectors and either it lights up or it doesn't.
Digital camera Review: Power Supply Tester - great tool Summary: 5 StarsOnly minor quibble is the note (in the one-page 'manual' that says not to worry if there is no -5v - most supplies don't deliver this voltage. It would be nice if this were on the back of the unit so it would always be in the same place.
It's a valuable addition to my kit.
Digital camera Review: Great! Summary: 5 StarsFinally got to try out the product while troubleshooting a dead system today. It worked great......in other words it correctly identified a dead powersupply without me having to swap out powersupplies in order to find out if the powersupply was indeed the failing part. So it did exactly what it said it would do.
