Digital camera Review: I used to swear by Powerex now I swear at Powerex

Based on technical reviews I read years ago that showed Powerex superior to most other brands I have used them for years. However, over time I noticed a lot of duds with new purchases. I guess quality control is not up to par.
I can no longer recommend Powerex batteries.

As a wedding photographer, these eliminated my need for a cumbersome external batterypack. Expensive but you are getting what you pay for.
Probably not worth it for the TV remote but for high drain devices, these pack a punch and blow standard alkaline AA's out of the water!

With a dozen of these, the best I am able to achieve is 2590 maH which is 4% below marked specifications. The poorest was 2460 maH, being 9% low. The average was 2513.
I used a LaCrosse BC900 on the refresh cycle which constantly discharges and recharges until the batteries achieve maximum results.
By comparison, a set of Duracells purchased 4 years ago were in the range of 2570-2610 when new and they were rated at 2650.

I have just started using it, it is really good in the starting, I can take 800-1000 pics with some videos in one go, it do not goes down easily.
Lets hope it works the same way after a long time too.

I grabbed a pack of these to power my WiiMotes, and they have not left me wanting. They have been in my controllers since I received them, making today one month of use since they finished their initial charge. I have beat three RPGs as well as having played countless hours. I would approximate these things have seen 50+ hours of use so far and they are still not even close to dead. Short of industrial grade lithium I have never seen a battery last half this long.
