The first time I was using this tripod, the lock knob and twist handle broke off in my hands when I applied the slightest pressure to them. I thought maybe it was a fluke, and sent it back. Months after they replaced the tripod, I was sitting outside my car with the tripod on the seat. When it fell off and hit the ground (maybe 4 feet or so), one of the legs and brace broke off, as well as the head, which shattered into two different pieces. Obviously, this tripod is an excellent example of shoddy workmanship. Pay the extra dollar for a sturdier tripod.
