Digital camera Review: Misleading Product Picture

The battery shown is NOT the battery the company shipped to me. I ordered this battery because the product picture shows an APC battery, which is what I wanted for my APC power backup. What they shipped was an ABC (American Battery Company) product. I kept it because my battery was flat dead and I had to replace it. The ABC battery works fine so far, but that's not the point. When one purchases from Amazon, one expects that the product shown is the product delivered, which up to this has always been the case. (I of course don't blame Amazon for what happened here.) I spoke with the manufacturer on November 12, and while they are not the seller, they did say that they would ask the seller to correct the picture, using one already supplied. As of this writing, the wrong picture is still in place. (I just noticed that another buyer made the same comment a few months ago. I wish I had read it.) Also, after I received the ABC battery and saw that it was not what I ordered, I check the ABC website and found that the price was less than I paid: $41.96 vs. $48.65. I also pointed out to the manufacturer that the list price then shown, $69.99, further led one to believe that the battery was the APC unit shown. The list price has since been removed, but I must wonder why the wrong picture is still in place.
