I have owned my unit for 1 week. My old Webtv unit could no longer connect to the network, so I decided to buy MSNTV 2. I think it is everything it is advertised to be.
Before I bought it, I called MSNTV Customer Service. The lady I spoke to told me that everything from my webtv would transfer to the new unit- my email address, my favories, and my settings. She said when registering the new unit online certain questions are askedthat would show you havean account. Once the registration was complete, all my information transferred to the new unit. Nothing was lost.
If you are thinking of buying this product, do it. You won't be disappointed.

I have had the msn tv2 for a week now and I am very happy with it. You defnitely must use high speed internet with it. I love it!! I primarily do emails, surfing the web and on line shopping. It meets my needs. i have a digital camera so I am excited about uploading my pictures and I enjoy listening to music while being on the internet.
Its great not having to worry about viruses!! After watching my son and a friend have trouble with viruses attacking their computer systems, I am glad I don't have that to worry about that.
I currently have it hooked up to its own 27 inch screen tv. I love sitting in my easy chair and being able to relax while reading my email!
For the cost, it is a good investment for me and saved me quite a bit of money right now.

I think this product is great. I started out with the first msn reciever, and it was great for beginner's who don't know much about computers. I had it for about 6 years nd it served me well, but I was ready for an upgrade, so I went out and bought the new and improved msn2, it is quiet different from the first one, but it is worth every penny, it is much faster, and has allot of great, and different things to do on it. I still have my old one, if this one doesn't work out for me, but I really think it will.Digital camera Review: Buy it, you will like it!!!

I bought this system after my high dollar multi-media computer broke down for the 4th and last time.
If you enjoy surfing the web,email, shopping on line, "chatting" on line but don't want to spend a fortune.....this is your baby.
I recently added an Epson C66 printer for receits or articles. Easy to do and again not expensive. Works like a charm.
I use playstation 2 now for games. I expect zillions of game bites is what sizzled my computer in the first place.
MSN updates the product for you through the telephone line every 2 or 3 months.
It is a bit slow downloading with dial up service. But not terribly slow. And you do have to use MSNTV 2 (web tv service) but they are a good service!
I recently had a chance to get a computer again with tax refund money. I decided my MSNTV 2 would suffice. Now I am typing this feedback on a 42" screen tv instead....LOL
Go for it! Buy it, you will like it!!!

I previously owned a RCA MSN TV and had no problem with it but wanted to upgrade. On 01/10/06 I purchased a RCA MSN TV-2 from AMAZON.COM. I received the unit and had minor problems with it to begin with. Then I had all kinds of problems like it would not connect up to MSN TV and then I would always get constant Navigation screens on my unit no matter what I wanted to see. After I had the unit for 41 days I called MSN TV Customer Service and then had me go through Customer Support numerous times. After 2 days of this testing they advised me that the software was bad in my unit and that I had to send it back to where I got it from. I contacted AMAZON.COM and was advised that since I had the unit over 30 days I could not return it since that was their warranty period. I then contactd MSN TV again and advised them of this and they gave me the Microsoft telephone number to call and to contact them. I contacted Microsoft and the man I talked to said that since I could not return the unit to AMAZON.COM that they would take it since their warranty period for this product was 45 days. He said to send the entire unit to them along with a copy of the purchase paperwork and a letter stating the amount of the perchase and the amount of the shipping charges and to send them the unit insured. This I did and about 10 days later I received a telephone call from a very irate lady wanting to know why I sent them the unit and who told me to do it? I advised her and she said they don't take back units and that they provide only support to RCA for the units. She further said you are getting the unit sent back to you as we do not want it. It has been approximately 2 weeks since she called and I never got the unit back. Since I did not have a unit I ordered another unit and received same in the mail and it seems to work fine. I had to pay for that unit also. (...) The lady from Microsoft said the problem is with RCA not Microsoft in getting the unit repaired or replaced. No one seems to want to do anything about the defective unit. I therefore am very upset with the whole matter. Just as a matter of information I still have Navigation problems with this unit but not on a regular basis. Seems that the RCA/MSN TV 2 has too many bugs in it. If you are interested in purchasing a unit please think twice before you do.
