This was a system upgrade from WebTv. It took no time at all to get back on line. Only needed a new USB cable for the printer.
The s-video was not used.
The new keyboard is a great improvement, and makes entry alot easyer.
Once you are up and running, MSN will make any changes that the interface will need. We love it!

My parents, who are in their late 80s & my cousin, who is in her late 60s have used the original web TV & totally enjoy receiving family e-mails from our large e-mailing family. Both report the MSN TV2 is very similiar but faster than the older units. I have personally considered purchasing one for myself to eliminate the threat of viruses on my personal PC. I am dissappointed that these units are no longer being made but am thankful refurbished units are still available & MSN continues to provide service. I would highly recommend using this product for anyone that wants to use e-mail & light web surfing.Digital camera Review: MSNTV 2

I have owned my unit for 1 week. My old Webtv unit could no longer connect to the network, so I decided to buy MSNTV 2. I think it is everything it is advertised to be.
Before I bought it, I called MSNTV Customer Service. The lady I spoke to told me that everything from my webtv would transfer to the new unit- my email address, my favories, and my settings. She said when registering the new unit online certain questions are askedthat would show you havean account. Once the registration was complete, all my information transferred to the new unit. Nothing was lost.
If you are thinking of buying this product, do it. You won't be disappointed.

I have many PCs in my house and I also have broadband access. I decided to get this box for two main reasons:
1) Quick and rich access to email and internet on my bedroom TV, either through a remote control and/or with a wireless keyboard, how cool is that?
2) So that I could access all my MP3s and digital photographs from my MediaCenter PC which is in another room.
The experience has been amazing, the hardware and the setup was a breeze and quite a pleasure. I enjoy the one button quick access to music, photos, the internet and email!
You can access pretty much any website, quickly page down and read all the content, you could even be browsing while listening to you favorite internet radio station or MP3 music.
I can't say enough about how great this product is, well done MSNTV!!
