Digital camera reviews of RCA RP5400 Smart Snooze Dual Wake AM/FM Clock Radio

Digital camera Review: Great little clock
Summary: 4 Stars

Overall this clock is just what I wanted... pretty small as most cheaper clocks are... but with good features. It's got a great buzzer that will gently wake you from a sound sleep, instead of sounding like something out of an 80s movie. The LED display is bright enough, without overpowering you. And it has 2 alarms! My only complaint is the buttons could be laid out a little better... and to set the time is a bit of a pain... no separate buttons for hour and minutes. But if you don't mind that, for the price you can't beat this clock.

Digital camera Review: Great product!
Summary: 5 Stars

I've owned this product for over a month. It is a great product. I love the two alarms and the nap function is fantastic. My favorite feature is the escalating alarm. The clock works great.

Digital camera Review: Great to wake!
Summary: 5 Stars

This alarm clock is wonderful!

The display is a lovely lime green, and can be bright or dimmed at the slide of a switch.

There are 2 alarms that can be programmed for different times, and each has the option of being a rather pleasent bleepy noise or the fm/am radio.

There are several alarm off buttons and they have other functions when the alarm is not going, I never use them but a 'Snooze' is 9 minutes long and a 'Nap' is 59 minutes.

Digital camera Review: I don't hate this alarm clock
Summary: 4 Stars

I'm very particular about my alarm clock. When my previous clock failed to beep after clicking on, I set out to find a new model. My requirements were:

1. 2 alarms
2. No iPod connection
3. No auto time set
4. Inexpensive

The reason for no iPod or auto time set is that I didn't want them and figured if it had those features and was still inexpensive then they were cheaping out somewhere else.

I normally hate alarm clocks. I don't like to be woken up, and I don't like to be nagged. Every alarm I've used seems to nag me awake. This one has a relatively pleasant tone, which slowly increases in volume. I am no longer jarred awake. I absolutely LOVE this feature.

That being said, the only con I have is that there isn't a button to reset the alarm. You have to turn the alarm off and back on again. It's a small price to pay for the soft start alarm feature.

I highly recommend this if you don't need yet another place to plug in your iPod or have the time set automatically (which never works anyway). When this one dies I hope they still make them cuz I'll buy another.

Digital camera Review: It does what I want it to do
Summary: 4 Stars

This little radio surprised me. It was easy to set up, even though I had misplaced the instructions. I particularly liked that I could lock the settings. No more resetting the time while fumbling for the snooze bar (which my old clock would do). And I too like a 10 minute snooze, so that feature particularly appealed to me.

The sound is adequate. It isn't a big ticket, stereo priced clock radio, after all. But the stations come in clear and wake me up just fine.

If you are looking for a small footprint, no frills clock radio, I give this two thumbs up.
