I'm sorry to say but this is the best stand out there. Of course you can't compare this to stands that has extra USB ports and whatever bells and whistle.
This stand gets a 5 star because simply put, it is extremely well made. The design matches your sleep macbook (if that is what you have). It is durable. You can tell it comes from a well thought out company in the simple yet innovative packaging it came in.
Definitely quality.

I purchased this stand for my Mac Book Pro laptop and was extremely satisfied with the purchase to arrival part of the transaction. My only suggestion would be to make the cabling hole on the back of the stand a little larger so that a DVI connector could fit thru it. I have had this stand for about 9 months and I must say this is best stand for the Macbook Pro 15". I use my computer on my desk and the stand
provides the proper height when using the screen on the macbook. Also one of the main reasons I purchased this stand is to keep my macbook
safe from accidental spills (coffee). The ergonomic styling, aluminum construction is second to none to the other stands I researched.
Overall this stand has been one of the best investments one can make when using a macbook pro.

There were several negative comments here that this stand didn't have an opening so that you can open your Macbook Pro. The designers must have been listening, because I just got one and it has a slot cut in the front bar that solves this problem. This isn't shown in any of the pictures on this or other websites, so they must have just added it.
Everything about this stand is great. It is just a piece of metal, but the MacBook Pro fits in it perfectly (both physically and esthetically), and it is easy to reach and see when it is in there.

Great design, consistent Apple look, functional. If you are looking to elevate your macbook or macbook pro, this is the best solution. Keyboard stows nicely below stand, freeing up desk space. Cord hole in back has plastic liner to prevent cord wear. Large rubber pads on base and platform make this a number one choice.
