The MStand an essential for anyone who owns an Apple notebook and uses it more than 2 hours a day. I could sum it up by saying a lot of thought went into it, but I feel the need to be a little wordier.
Rain Design has methodically examined similar products on the market and developed the MStand into a supremely functional, aesthetically pleasing unofficial accessory. Its intuitive, its streamlined.
The build quality of the MStand really can't be praised enough. It's as though they surgically removed the base stand of an aluminum iMac. If I didn't know any better, I would say it was produced by Apple. It's used best in conjunction with a wireless keyboard mouse combo but can function on its own.
Most importantly to me, the MStand elevates the LCD screen so that it helps keep your head up and helps reduce developing bad posture that notebook computers are infamous for cultivating. That alone is worth the investment, the fact it looks so pleasing as a base for a home office is just the icing on the cake.

I use my macbook pro as my home machine and needed a stand to elevate the computer. After looking into several laptop stands and reading the reviews, I decided to go with this stand from Rain. This stand turned out to be exactly what I needed. It elevates the laptop to an ergonomic height, is sturdy, and has rubber pads so there is no chance of scratches. The brushed aluminum matches my MBP perfectly. There is even a cutout so you can get to the lid latch without raising the laptop off of the stand (some of the earlier pictures on amazon don't show this new updated feature). I was using my Laptop on my desk and was having some trouble because the 15.4" screen was too low and too far away. This laptop stand does a great job of getting the screen up to my eye level. Also it has room underneath the stand to allow me to put my wireless keyboard out of the way if I need the space for writing. I received my stand a few days ago, and I have to say, im in love. Not only does it perform well, but it also matches my MacBook pro's aluminum color impeccably. The only quip i have with this stand is that its a little wobbly (on the computer side, not the base). I dont type on it, but when i do gestures for my computer, there is a noticeable wobble. Other than that, it keeps my computer cool, and enhances its style factor.
