Having owned this for about 2 months, the charger does not work any more. Prior to this, the car charger was especially poorly made and interfered (LOTS of static noise) with my car stereo.
I strongly recommend stumping up the extra few dollars for a name brand.

I plugged my iphone into the wall charger, the red light was on, but after several hours, no change in the iphone battery indicator. I ordered these with the hope that I could use them when I don't have access to my laptop or a computer to charge my ipod. After a friend continuously tried to get the wall charger to work, we figured out that it didn't work with the ipod. It would work if he plugged his iphone in, but not with my ipod. A disappointment. The wall charger actually sparked when I plugged it in the wall. Thinking that maybe the polarity was wrong (the blades are not asymmetrical, so you can't tell), I plugged it in the other way. My Touch 2G would not charge and now I'm scared of frying my Touch to try to again. A friend of mine ordered the same thing and told me hers didn't work either. Not worth returning, it'll go into the landfill. Sorry I can't give any info on the car charger as I purchased this set for the wall charger only.
