These should be considered 2.1 amp hour/2100 milliamp hour low self discharge hybrid batteries. Considering that these are being sold at close to the same price as the 1 time use alkaline batteries out there, these are an excellent deal. I've read feedback from quite a number of 3 month and 6 month tests on these that folks online have done, and after 6 months these hold 78% to 83% of their charge - on average 80%, with the occasional battery holding a little more, and once in a while one holding a little bit less.
Normal NIMH rechargeable batteries can hold a lot of power for things like digital cameras. However, their primary weakness is that they lose nearly all of their charge after a month or so. This means you put your camera in a drawer, then take it out to use it, and your batteries are dead.
These batteries solve that problem by changing the battery chemistry slightly, and also including some circuitry that allows the batteries to retain the vast majority of their charge longer. As such, they are more like an alkaline battery than a NIMH in long term charge retention aspect.
I have been using the prior generation "Rayovac Hybrid" AA batteries for a year and a half now, and they still hold an excellent charge. I would recommend these.
