These replace all my old NiMH batteries that would run down just sitting around. Have had two of these in my Casio digital camera for a few weeks now and still show a full charge. The parcel arrived quickly and contained two 4-packs as advertised(8 total batteries), but each one was already completely opened! There was not even an attempt to tape the plastic cover (holding the batteries) to the cardboard backing. I could not discern whether the batteries were "refurbished" or "seconds" or whether each package had just been opened (e.g. torn off by accident, customer return, glue defect) and that is what justified the low price. I examined the batteries and they appeared not to have been used (no obvious scratches or wear), but I am not an expert. Deciding to assume the most positive outcome, I installed them into various appliances (mostly cordless phones) and everything has worked so far. I rated the product a 3 for no other reason than I simply won't know for some time whether I received brand new batteries in a broken seal package or something else...

P.S. Had I known up front that the packages were unsealed and that was the reason for the discounted price, I would have proceeded with the purchase and not questioned the product's authenticity. Lesson to SELLERS, be honest and forthcoming with your customers -- there is nothing worse than creating unnecessary doubt and mistrust which could have been easily avoided in this case!

Have bought two packs of "AA" and one pack of "AAA" at a Shopko near my house. I bought a Lacrosse battery charger to go along with them from Amazon.com. The charger cost 37.50. It will refresh older rechargeables and give diagnostic information also. We also use a Rayovac 15 minute charger with the 15 minute batteries and we love it. It has a fan to cool it when charging but still gets warm. They work great in digital cameras and portable CD's. We have saved hundreds of dollars on batteries. I wanted a battery that would last in slow drain devices such as Mp3's and remotes so wanted to buy the Hybrids to round out our collection we still use Duracell or other non-rechargeables in our smoke detectors and clocks. I haven't had these batteries long enough to give a complete review since one of their positive/negative (no pun intended) aspects will be how long they last in overall usage and that will take months/years. So far, they're going strong in terms of how long they will provide power my Canon SX110 IS. I'm hoping that they last as long (or longer) as my previous set of Rayovac NiMH.
