Digital camera reviews of Rechargeable NiMH Batteries, 2650mAH, AA size, 8 batteries per pack DC1500Digital camera Review: Duracell NiMH cells are hit and miss, at best Summary: 1 Stars
I have been buying rechargeable AA batteries since the days of NiCd cells. I have purchased many brands, including Energizer, Maha Powerex, Kodak, Sanyo Eneloops, and Duracell. All degrade slowly over time -- except some Duracells, which are prone to sudden and irreversible failure. I charge with Maha chargers, including the MH-C9000 which can also recondition and analyze. Several years ago, I bought ~20 of these Duracells. Fully half of them no longer hold a charge.
I have many Energizer, Powerex, and Kodak cells that hold nearly their rated capacity for far longer than two years. To have 50% of the Duracells fail in this timeframe has convinced me to never buy a Duracell NiMH battery again. Ever.
Digital camera Review: EXCELLENT BATTERIES 5 Stars
I'm a professional photographer and have relied on these batteries to power my flash units for years. To give you and idea of how good they are, on a typical photography event, they hold a strong charge for up to 3-4 hours of CONTINUOUS flashing, and I'm talking on a Nikon SB900 flash, which is one of the biggest Nikon on-camera flash units available. These are excellent batteries. Great quality and life span. I don't get the negative feedback from people that say they die quickly. What in the world are they doing? Don't expect them to have a charge for a long time, like days or even weeks at a time depending on the type of use. The point of them being rechargeable is the ability to recharge them for reuse and optimal performance without having to waste so much money buying regular ones. In my experience, after all that heavy duty operation, they start dying out one by one at the time of about two years. Failure to recharge, it's an indication that they need to be replaced. In conclusion, I definitely recommend these batteries.
Digital camera Review: First set to die Summary: 1 Stars
I purchased an eight pack of batteries for two Canon flashes. This product is always the first to lose the power. I have other rechargeable brands that last days longer. I don't know if I got a bad batch of these batteries or not. As it is I would never purchase this brand of rechargeable batteries again.
Digital camera Review: Good Batteries Summary: 5 Stars
These batteries last for as long as alkaline batteries. they recharge in 15 min in our quick charger. I would never go back to normal batteries.
Digital camera Review: Good batteries but they lose charge quickly when not in use. Summary: 3 Stars
They work for the most part. Sadly they lose charge when not in use rather quickly, which is a big turn off. Also, they don't work at all with my digital camera which is a big shame.
