This is very cheaply made. I used it for about a week before it simply broke in my pocket when I bent over. It is now almost impossible to screw the bottom and top together, and when you do it heats up (there is now a short in it) and doesn't work. Doesn't matter how good the laser is if the body housing it breaks so easily. Buy one that is more durable! Digital camera Review: Great product! Great price!

What fun! Unlike most of the other reviewers, I am using this product for its original purpose--as a pointer while lecturing. I'm really enjoying using it, and it is precisely as advertised, truly first rate. One warning: the battery goes is upside down from the way most such things have their batteries oriented, so don't get frustrated, just turn it over!Digital camera Review: Arrived broken!

This product has a nice feel and produces a nice bright red spot. Too bad it arrived broken. The ring that has threads to screw the two sections together after inserting the batteries was not attached to the upper section. Rather than pay for postage to send it back I have applied some epoxy to the joint. Now seems to hold. "Red Laser Pointer High Quality"? Hmmm. Maybe not.
As for the complaints that you have to continually hold the button down to turn on the beam, yes, that's true. If you're playing with your cat that is probably a drawback. If you're giving a talk then it probably isn't.

I purchased this item awhile ago and it works great, especially during powerpoint presentations with graphs and equations. It helps the audience understand the presented materials better. Highly recommeneded :)
