Probably not the highest quality laser pointer, but the cats love it. Works great for my usage. I have not measured the distance, but it shines as far as I can point it out of my house. Very easy to hold the button and keep the laser on, as some I've had before the button pushed so hard you could only keep it on for a few seconds at a time.Digital camera Review: Cheap for a reason.

While it does have a nice metal body the quality is rather poor.
It also broke after a week of normal use.
I will now have to invest in a more expensive and hopefully better laser pointer.

Aside from the obvious reasons people buy these little gatchets ours is mostly used as a doggie toy. Our dog loves to run after that "little red dot" and likes to dig for it if you hold it in one spot. He likes it so much that he already gets excited if we pick up a pen because he thinks it is the laser pointer. This one is a good quality product and has lasted us a lot longer than our first one.Digital camera Review: Great value for the money

I ordered this pointer to use as a backup during a conference. It is a nice toy, does not have a solid feel of a pointer that costs 3 or 4 times more. You feel the relative flimsiness when you open it to put in the batteries and then screw the top and bottom together. On the plus side - it performed flawlessly during a day-long conference, and the slim metal box in which it arrived provided good protection
PS - after using this pointer at a couple of conferences I wish I could upgrade my review to 5 stars. The pointer works very well, and I noticed that my colleagues always select this pointer from among several on the table.
