If you are thinking about getting this to use with the Xbox 360, think twice. On the cable I received, the male portion of the plug is too short to lock into place into the component a/v hd jack of the 360. This cable works perfectly to get my PS3 across the room to my 5.1 receiver, and at a fraction of the price and at a length I rarely find in stores (when I do find it, they want over $100!). It honestly makes me wonder how the other stores get away with the margins they do. It's optical digital, so paying more can't get you better quality. The item is being used to connect PC (Dell Windows 7) to a Pioneer receiver. The cable works great for my application, however as a previous review stated the cable is a little lose, so I would only recommend this item in a situation where the cable will not be disturbed (or rarely disturbed) as it can be pulled out very easily.
