Digital camera reviews of SE Magnifier, Headband LightedDigital camera Review: Cheap enough Summary: 3 Stars
I have several types of head worn magnifiers including the Bausch and Lombs and the no-name brand you see everywhere for a single digit amount. These are also low cost and seem to have a lot of features such as two leds each needing a pair of AAA batteries. There is also a flip down additional magnifier which is actually pretty useful, and an additional external loupe. The price you pay for all this is weight, especially with batteries in, as this item is not a very comfortable fit, nor is it light in weight. The quality is OK and certainly OK for the price, and a much better overall value, and much more comfortable and usable than the expensive B&Ls, which come last in my ratings.
Digital camera Review: Crazy Good for the Money Summary: 5 Stars
In case you overlooked it, this thing has two full width lenses: one fixed and one that flips down from the inside. Then it has the tiny round one mounted on the screw. The optical performance is fine. the band that goes around your head is velcro adjustable and the entire front optical assembly flips up and down so that you don't have to take it on and off your head constantly.
With both of the full width lenses in play, you get tremendous magnification and with the round lens down too, it's like a weak microscope.
The lights work well, and they're LED, so they shouldn't eat batteries. They're tilted inward to meet in the middle on your subject.
If you take the free shipping option, this thing is practically free. Even better, if you look this gift horse in the mouth, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Digital camera Review: Does just what it should Summary: 4 Stars
While it appears on the cheap side this works just as it should and has been very helpful doing some delicate repair work.
Digital camera Review: Does the job for small $ Summary: 4 Stars
This works okay. the standard mag is like my reading glasses. but you flip down the 2nd lenses (easy operation) and then get some serious magnification. Has a 3rd high mag (1 eye only) for those needs. Hood flips up easily and it is very light so you can keep it on for hours and not notice it. It is half the weight of my stetson hat. I lightened it up even further by taking off the LED lights. They aren't really all that usseful anyhow. Most of the time I use this on the standard mag, and flip down the 2nd lenses when I need to look at something close.
It does the job, decently constructed, easy to use, lightweight, and for only $7.50 shipped, you can't go wrong.
Digital camera Review: Does what I need it to. Summary: 4 Stars
I gave this 4 stars for the main reason the LEDs have to be messed with to get them to come on and stay on. Other then that it works great. I priced these locally at a hobby supply store and they wanted over 40 dollars for the same ones. So I am very happy with my purchase.
