I had a hard time trying to pick the right case for my iphone. Finally I decided to try this case. Its awesome. The look is very sleek, I couldn't have asked for a better looking case. Its a hard polycarbonate case with a soft feel on the surface, so it doesn't slip from your hand. I was a little concerned in the beginning because it doesn't cover the front at all, but a screen protector should be enough. Excellent fit, and it gives extra grip, so you don't drop your iphone, like I did twice before I got the case.
Pros:
It gives you grip, since the iphone's surface has none
Adds very little weight and bulk.
Protects the back and edges of the phone.
There are only two cons to this case.
One is that the volume and silence buttons are hard to activate, especially with big fingers. They could have made that part of the plastic a little smaller to make this easier.
Two is that the rubberized, matte-finish coating started to rub off around the edges after only two weeks. Not a terribly large amount, but enough to irk me after paying ten dollars for a piece of plastic.
Also, take the case off at least once week (you'll have to anyway if you want to use a dock) because there is always a lot of dirt and lint in there when I take it off. Which is why I say: DO NOT BUY THE CLEAR VERSION. I bought black, luckily, but I was close to buying the clear version, and I would not want to see the amounts of dirt and lint back there. I don't list this a con, because there isn't much that can be done about it, no matter how close you make the tolerances, dirt is liable to get in there.
Overall, however, I feel that this style of case is the best you can buy for an average iphone user, who just wants to slip it in their pocket without any extra bulk.
Four stars for being the best case I've found yet, despite the shortcomings.

I really love this iPhone cover. Just now I got back from a trip and I got compliments from 2 separate people telling me how nice it looked. One even told me that I needed to get a case for my iPhone - this product is so sleek that you can't even tell that the cover is on and is protected. He was so impressed with it when I showed it to him.
It's got all the cutouts necessary to give you full access to all the controls, and it even has a very cool circular cutout on the back that enables you to see the Apple logo.
It's extremely form-fitting and tight, and incredibly lightweight. I have dropped my phone and nothing was damaged.
But, here's the thing - the cover fits around and protects the phone in the back, and on the sides. It does not protect the screen if you should happen to drop the phone on its face. The wrap-around protection does not extend to the front, and it doesn't even come completely flush with the screen.
Even so, I still recommended. This is very aesthetically pleasing cover, and it's light and sturdy. Just don't expect it to safeguard your phone from a direct impact to the screen.

I had to replace my inCase cover for my iPhone as it had cracked - not pleased, but when I searched for a new case, I found this one. I received it in good order and it is an excellent case. Will it be THE case for me forever? Only time will tell:
- very slim design - adds very little bulk to the phone, unlike other cases
- snaps right on - no sliding, no multiple parts
- great form and fit - feels good in the hand - rubberized material appears to be a good design for the function of the case
- I am concerned that the cutouts for the buttons/switches are oversized - not sure why that is
- Case does not wrap all the way around like other cases - the silver on the 3G is exposed in places and the case does not cover the top and bottom (in between the corners) of the phone - it DOES cover all corners, so I feel it will be OK - but again, time will tell.
Overall I really like it so far. I just hope it will stay that way.

I have tried many iPhone covers and all of them didnt feel just right. They were either too bulky or flimsy. I didnt want to copromise on the great feel of the iPhone by wrapping it up with covers that made it feel like a brick. Also pocket real-estate was also lost with many of the shields out there.
SHIELD has been great because it protects the phone, but yet doesnt bulk it up at the same time. You still get to enjoy the iPhone shape and size while it being protected. Great buy and I recommend it whole heartedly.
