We got this unit in order to simplify giving powerpoint presentations. Our projector remote has 100 buttons and often confuses users. This units does the job - forward, reverse, end. It has a decent range and being RF doesn't require you to point at the IR receiver.
The two drawbacks:
1) It sometimes misses a beat - fairly frequently - meaning you have to hit the advance button a couple of times before it advances - not always, just sometimes. That's annoying.
2) Needs to have one more function - a mouse click. A lot of our powerpoints have enabled links that this unit can't click. That's the price of simplicity - it does forward, reverse and stop - but no mouse click.
We'll use it, just not as much as we had hoped. It will be easier and more convenient for low end users but not functional enough for high end.
