Digital camera reviews of Saitek Eclipse II Backlit Keyboard (PK02AU)

Digital camera Review: A Good Choice
Summary: 5 Stars

Just built a new pc over the holidays, but had a hard time finding a keyboard which we all liked. I had been using an old Dell keyboard which we all hate. My wife and I had been to several stores and did not like what we tried....wireless, laptop style, waves, oversized, etc. Seems no one makes a simple standard keyboard anymore. I finally took a chance and ordered this keyboard based on reviews for actual typing. So far it's been a good choice. My wife and I both like it, which is unusual.

Keyboard is USB only which is what I wanted. With my new pc I also abandoned my wireless mouse and went USB with a Logitech MX518. Much better response with USB and no batteries.

As far as the lights, I initially turned them off because I found them annoying. That turned out to only be the case in daylight or with room lights on. In the dark with room lights off they work fine. Turned out to be a good keyboard for either straight typing or for gaming in the dark. Keyboard has blue, red or purple lights (and an off switch for my wife) with a dimmer knob for brightness control.

Giving it 5 stars so far.

Digital camera Review: A Keyboard worthy of your every stroke
Summary: 5 Stars

Man, I bought a Keyboard from Amazon, and a Razor Diamondback mouse from TigerDirect. The Keyboard that I'm typing on is definitely a better deal, this sleek sexy beast has never had sticky keys, and its a little on the heavy side which is a good thing. I like things that are built well, and this keyboard is no exception. If your a heavy gamer the macros might be a little lacking, but I'm not a huge WoW fanatic. The keyboard has a backlight which you can change to a neon Blue, a neon Red (my favorite), or a neon Purple, all which look sleek and sexy in the dark. you have a knob where you can adjust the brightness of the backlight and I would suggest turning it off during the day. The backlight isn't bad I've seen brighter, but I appreciate the fact that when I look at it it doesn't blind me. the standard armrest does help a lot, but to people who are on their computer a lot will probably want custom armguards because there is no padding on it. Bottom line those Germans know how to build a keyboard and this is by far the best I ever had the privilege to own, and would recommend it to anyone.

Digital camera Review: A MUST for Late Night Keyboarding
Summary: 5 Stars

After searching for several weeks for the right keyboard, the Eclipse II was a clear winner. The back lighting is just right for typing after the sun goes down and you do not really need to light up the entire room. With the choice of three different colors you never grow tired of it. The feel of the keys are great.

Digital camera Review: A Quality Keyboard...And It Lights Up Too!
Summary: 5 Stars

Pros: Very sturdy construction that just feels solid. The keys also have a nice feel to them. Media controls come in handy. It lights up in three colors - red, blue, and a purple that looks more like pink to me. Matches my Antec 900 case nicely.

Cons: Light could be brighter and is more of an aesthetic feature. Light is not uniform on all keys.

Conclusion: If you need a new keyboard, I highly reccomend this one. If you want this keyboard to match a case or just because it looks cool, I still reccomend it. If you need to be able to type in the dark, then this keyboard will do the job. However, in most cases my monitor gives off enough light to illuminate the keys.

Digital camera Review: A Qwerty Keyboard from a gaming company
Summary: 5 Stars

This is the neatest keyboard going for Qwerty Keyboard. It is light to the touch and has keys that light up in a choice of colors. For late night use it unsurpassed as you can actually work in the dark.
