It has an awesome touch, great ilumination in three colors, and worth every penny of the purchase price. Really and truly happy with it.
Digital camera Review: Awesome! Summary: 5 Stars
I had a g15, but I shorted the board by spilling water on it, so I had to get a replacement. This keyboard was ideal since I wanted one with illuminated keys, and the price for the newer model g15 was ridiculous. I couldn't find a first gen g15, so this had to do. And it's been awesome since I bought it. It does what it's advertised to do. The keys on this board are a bit smaller than my old g15, but I got used to it, so it's not really that much of a con. I'm going to miss the programmable multi-purpose keys that the g15 had, but that doesn't mean I'll change the rating because I wanted something that the Eclipse was not advertised to have.

This is one of the most solidly built keyboards I've ever owned. The back-lighting is etched into the keys making for a perfect glow and easy to read keys. It has 3 colors and 0-10 levels of brightness. No reason to hesitate on this piece. If a solid, lighted key is what you've been wanting yet you are not sure because there are so many. Don't waste your money on those cheap ones, as most are just that CHEAP. This is built for years to come. Plug and play on most system even a MAC! Get one before they're all gone! Type in the night without that annoying light! This is the ONE!
Digital camera Review: Back Light Keyboards Summary: 5 Stars
I have office built into my home, convenient right. The ceiling fan, while very beautifully ornamental, serves extremely poorly as a source of lighting. The office nook has only one dual plug outlet, making available power strip real estate a premium concern. I made do for a couple of years of squinting and flash lights, I even bought a USB snake light, each of them had something that made them a pain to use. (I saw the Alienware laptop that glows in the dark.) So, I set out to find a keyboard that glows in the dark. The first one I found was near [...], well I am stubborn but I am not stupid, so I kept on looking. The minute I first saw the "Saitek Eclipse II" I knew this is what I was looking for. Its affordable and made by a name I was accustomed to "Saitek" has been making my gaming joy sticks for years, so I knew that it would be durable. The keyboard worked right out of the box, no software required. I was blown away by the tactile response of the keys, (very nice.) The lights page through blue, red, violet, and off. Convenience, for me the keyboard paid for its self the first time I put the computer in standby mode and the lights turned off all by themselves. The price was cheaper at one of [...] affiliates, but purchasing experience was seamless, as if it was [...].
Digital camera Review: Beautiful Keyboard Summary: 5 Stars
This is an amazing keyboard. An excellent look and quiet keys. Some reviewers said keys wore off and I have had this product for about a month with heavy use (I work from home so it sees 10 - 14 hours of use per day, plus gaming) and I have had no issues. Even if a couple keys wear off I will still love this keyboard. The red glow is perfect for playing games in a dark room, it is not distracting at all. If you are looking for an impressively working and looking keyboard look no further.
