Digital camera Review: Fun little mouse for laptop

When I got my new laptop I realized I was going to need a mouse for all of the work I do on it. I wanted something fun and different than the same boring gray and black optical mice I was finding.
The Saitek Notebook Mouse is exactly what I'm looking for. It is definitely pink - a very hot pink. The clear parts show you the inside of the mouse. It has two buttons and a scroll wheel in the middle just like any mouse. It connects via a USB port.
The two most important things I should warn you about is that the size is smaller than a traditional mouse. It's something you get used to but if you have larger hands and/or challenges with your hands (arthritis, etc.) this may not be the mouse for you. I thought this would be a problem for me but my hand "re-learned" how to use the mouse and now I have no problems.
The other issue is that the mouse stays illuminiated even when not in use. When the mouse is at rest it has a bluish-white light coming from the scroll wheel (think a white LED type look). When you move the mouse the white light doesn't change but you do also get the red light of the optical mouse down below. This may not be a problem for you but if you're going for low key, this may not be the direction you want to head.
I, however, love this mouse. It feels good in my hand, definitely not flimsy. It also works on a variety of surfaces. I've used it on couch's arm rest, a regular table and, right now, on a Pottery Barn catalogue. There have been no problems with any of the variety of surfaces.
If you're looking for something to individualize your laptop computing, this is definitely the way to go.

I bought this mouse because the color matched a graphic skin I put on my notebook computer and the price was within my ballpark. (I ALWAYS pay attention to customer ratings, though, and others like it) Have been extremely impressed with it since I installed it. It IS, truly, plug in and go. No driver software to lose track of. This little mouse came to me today and I use it on my Brand New Laptop Computer. This little pink mouse is perfect for my uses, I use it while sitting on my Lasyboy Rocker-Recliner, and the mouse Works Great on the arm of my Lazyboy Chair without a mouse pad!!
